In February 2021, a behind-closed-doors session for UK Advertising Exports Group (UKAEG) members connected UK companies with 20 Chinese start-up brands, held in association with the Shanghai International Advertising Festival (SHIAF) and DIT China.
Companies and exhibitors were also invited to join the Lions Live global community, extending their reach into the Cannes Lions network and opening doors to further collaboration across the international creative industries.
Networking across borders has always been at the heart of creative innovation, and The UK House serves as a vital bridge connecting UK-based creators with international audiences and collaborators. By fostering meaningful exchanges between technologists, artists, investors, and researchers, the platform creates an environment where new ideas can flourish. These connections often lead to unexpected partnerships, blending disciplines like immersive media, ethical advertising, and AI-driven storytelling. The global creative industries thrive on such cross-pollination, and the ability to engage with diverse perspectives is essential for anyone looking to push boundaries and explore emerging trends in technology and culture.
For companies and exhibitors featured at The UK House, the opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience represents more than just visibility—it is a chance to test ideas, gather feedback, and build lasting professional relationships. The curated selection of CreaTech pioneers highlights the breadth of UK creativity, from interactive storytelling to next-generation content creation. These showcase moments allow innovators to demonstrate how their work addresses real-world challenges while opening doors to new markets and collaborators. The exchange of insights during these events often sparks fresh approaches to audience engagement and technological adoption.
The spirit of discovery that defines The UK House extends beyond formal presentations into the conversations that happen between sessions. Attendees from across the creative spectrum—makers, thinkers, funders, and strategists—come together to explore what the future of creative technology might hold. These informal interactions are where trust is built and where the seeds of future collaborations are planted. Whether discussing the adoption of emerging technologies or sharing lessons learnt from past projects, every conversation adds to a growing network of innovators committed to shaping the creative industries on a global scale.
